Hubbs for Style Media   If you follow me on Instagram (BlitzAndGlam), then you saw that I was on the Fox 46 Charlotte morning show, Good Day, Carolinas, the week before Easter.  The segment featured looks that are perfect for Easter and/or the Kentucky Derby.  I have never been to the Kentucky Derby, but it is on my bucket list.  When I do go, this look above is exactly what I would go for.  When I visited Petal in Charlotte to pick out a look, I knew this dress would be the winner as soon Read More ...

Philosophy blouse: c/o Marshalls Pencil skirt: c/o Marshalls BCBGeneration heels: DSW Cork clutch: Just Fab Location: NoDa (Charlotte) Photography: Lindsay Wynne Photography   I have had the best shopping luck lately!  Take this look for instance.  I found this blouse and skirt at Marshalls a couple of weeks ago.  I tried this blouse on with jeans and with this skirt, and while it looks great with both, with this skirt you get the perfect outfit.  Why is it perfect, you ask?  When I was thinking of what to write about this look, I thought this could be a great date night look.  Then I thought office to happy hour look. Dress: c/o Marshalls Blazer: The Limited Heels: Payless Handbag: c/o Marshalls Belt: The Limited Location: Plaza Midwood (Charlotte) Photography: Maya Elious   When I was little my Mom would always buy me and my sister new dresses for Easter.  As an adult, I cannot tell you the last time I bought myself a new Easter dress, if ever.  This year I will spend Easter weekend in Atlanta visiting friends, so I want to wear a dress that's easy for packing, that I can dress up for church, and that I can dress down for the rest of the day (and that will be comfortable for my drive back to Charlotte). Good-Bye…And Hello

Yesterday, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks took on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona.  In case you're the one person who didn't watch the game or tune in just for the commercials, the New England Patriots are the new Super Bowl Champions.  The end of the Super Bowl means the end of football season.  My team's season pretty much sucked so I cannot say that I am sad to see this season come to an end.   With football season over and so many TV hours free, I started thinking of what shows I am excited about that will be starting soon or in the next couple of months. Winter Shorts

We don't often think of wearing shorts in winter, because, well, it's cold.  But when you think about it, we wear dresses and skirts in winter, so why can't we wear shorts, too?  Well, I'm here to tell you that you can and I'm going to give you one good reason why you should – these Kate Spade Saturday wool shorts that I scored on clearance at Marshalls.  I'm really into neutrals right now, because neutral colors are so chic, and these grey shorts fit right into my classic, chic style.  Pair them with tights, a turtleneck or sweater, and knee boots or over-the-knee boots and you'll look very winter appropriate.  These will Read More ...

My Morning Routine

Earlier this week, I shared with you my travel list for 2015.  My other main focus for this year is to practice my photography and become a superstar photographer by December 31, 2015.  Ok, maybe not superstar, but I definitely want to see my photography improve over the course of the year.  So, when fellow blogger Mimi of Lipgloss & Binky posted about hers and LaShawn's (Everyday Eyecandy) photography challenge, Project 52, I was all in (ok, maybe not quite ALL in since I didn't post for week 1 of the challenge. Oops.).  Since the week 2 photo prompt is "Morning," I decided to photograph and write about my morning routine (this Read More ...

New Year, New Theme

2015,January 14
Thumbnail image for New Year, New Theme

I don't usually do New Year's resolutions, but instead, I usually set goals for each new year. Resolutions tend to be general like, "I'm going to work out more."  Goals tend to be more specific, such as, "I will buy a gym membership January 1." This year, I decided to give 2015 a theme – Happiness.  This year I'm all about doing more of the things that make me happy and less of the things that don't. Plain and simple.  I already shared with you my travel list for the year.  Travel makes me happy.  My other main focus for the year is studying, practicing, and improving my photography.  I Read More ...
