Post image for Winter Shorts

We don't often think of wearing shorts in winter, because, well, it's cold.  But when you think about it, we wear dresses and skirts in winter, so why can't we wear shorts, too?  Well, I'm here to tell you that you can and I'm going to give you one good reason why you should – these Kate Spade Saturday wool shorts that I scored on clearance at Marshalls.  I'm really into neutrals right now, because neutral colors are so chic, and these grey shorts fit right into my classic, chic style.  Pair them with tights, a turtleneck or sweater, and knee boots or over-the-knee boots and you'll look very winter appropriate.  These will Read More ...

Post image for My Morning Routine

Earlier this week, I shared with you my travel list for 2015.  My other main focus for this year is to practice my photography and become a superstar photographer by December 31, 2015.  Ok, maybe not superstar, but I definitely want to see my photography improve over the course of the year.  So, when fellow blogger Mimi of Lipgloss & Binky posted about hers and LaShawn's (Everyday Eyecandy) photography challenge, Project 52, I was all in (ok, maybe not quite ALL in since I didn't post for week 1 of the challenge. Oops.).  Since the week 2 photo prompt is "Morning," I decided to photograph and write about my morning routine (this Read More ...

Post image for New Year, New Theme

I don't usually do New Year's resolutions, but instead, I usually set goals for each new year. Resolutions tend to be general like, "I'm going to work out more."  Goals tend to be more specific, such as, "I will buy a gym membership January 1." This year, I decided to give 2015 a theme – Happiness.  This year I'm all about doing more of the things that make me happy and less of the things that don't. Plain and simple.  I already shared with you my travel list for the year.  Travel makes me happy.  My other main focus for the year is studying, practicing, and improving my photography.  I Read More ...

Dress (Forever 21) | Vest (Marshalls) | Belt (H&M) | Rocket Dog boots (c/o Marshalls) | Watch (c/o Timex) Tights (Marshalls) | Steve Madden sunglasses (c/o Marshalls) | Clutch & Necklace (Target) | Bracelet (c/o Versona Accessories)   First, let me start off by saying that absolutely nothing that I'm wearing in these photos is new.  Despite what some might think, I don't shop ALL the time (in fact, I'm skipping Black Friday sales right now to put this post together).  I went into my closet and threw this look together the day after Thanksgiving.  One of my goals for the long holiday weekend is to clean out my drawers and closet, which usually means me playing Read More ...

Tommy Hilfiger quilted jacket (c/o Marshalls) | Coach scarf (c/o Marshalls) | Michael Kors skirt (c/o Marshalls) | Handbag (c/o Marshalls) Steve Madden gloves (c/o Marshalls) | Boots (Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse – old) | Steve Madden sunglasses (c/o Marshalls)   It's that time of year when it's all about layers – sweaters, jackets, scarves, gloves, and hats.  I was feeling very Thanksgiving-y on Thanksgiving Day in my new Coach scarf from Marshalls.  So, what do you do when you're feeling Thanksgiving-y?  You do an impromptu Thanksgiving Day photo shoot.    I'd been wanting a more casual jacket for when it's not cold enough for my heavier coats, but not warm enough for my lighter jackets. Left-to-Right: Guess Charise Booties (Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse c/o Concord Mills) | Zigi Soho Duran (c/o Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse) | Steve Madden Daintey (c/o Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse)   I don't know what it is, but lately I have been obsessed with peep-toe shoes.  The last three pairs of shoes that I've picked out?  Peep-toe. The shoes that I want to wear everyday.  Peep-toe (which is a problem because I've been slipping on the pedicures lately).  So, even though they've all been featured in recent posts, I thought that I would get up close and personal with each pair.   Meet the Guess Charise peep-toe booties.  These are the booties that I wear when Read More ...

It was a great game and my team came out on top. We really needed that win and it put us on top of the division. Unfortunately, we haven't had the best season, but fortunately, the other teams in our division have had a worse season than us.  One Read More ...
