9th & Elm Monogram Bracelet Giveaway

As a Southern girl, I love anything monogrammed.  I remember in junior high school when I got my very first L.L. Bean backpack and got it monogrammed.  From that point forward, everyone started calling me Tam.  Why?  Because my initials are, in fact, TAM.  If I get married changing my last name might be a point of contention if his last name doesn't start with an M because I love my initials!  Through law school I had two more monogrammed L.L. Bean backpacks (I still have one).  I have a tote bag that has my initials.  I also have a nameplate necklace.  It's my first name rather than my initials, but I love it just as much.  And now, thanks to 9th &...

What To Wear To The Kentucky Derby

Dress: Petal (Charlotte) Hat: Petal (Charlotte) Shoes: ShoeDazzle Necklace: c/o Belk Bracelets: Petal (Charlotte) Photography: Erin L. Hubbs for Style Media   If you follow me on Instagram (BlitzAndGlam), then you saw that I was on the Fox 46 Charlotte morning show, Good Day, Carolinas, the week before Easter.  The segment featured looks that are perfect for Easter and/or the Kentucky Derby.  I have never been to the Kentucky Derby, but it is on my bucket list.  When I do go, this look above is exactly what I would go for.  When I visited Petal in Charlotte to pick out a look, I knew this dress would be the winner as soon as I saw it.  It was perfect.  Petal added the hat and stackable bracelets and I added my own...

A Day In My Life

Saturday   7:47 a.m.  Check in on the blog to make sure it hasn't crashed overnight.  Kidding.  Not really.  I just like to take a peek in the morning to see what my readers see when they come to the blog.  I want to make sure that everything looks visually appealing and that nothing kooky happened while I was sleeping. (Note to self: Talk to my blog designer about a re-design for the 5th Anniversary.  After 5 years, it's beyond time for something new!)   7:49 a.m.  I'm so not ready to get out of bed yet.  As a matter of fact, why am I even awake right now?  It's Saturday morning and I don't have any appointments or meetings today so I can...

9 Gift Ideas for the Style Blogger

Whenever I'm looking for gift guides, I love when I find very specific guides.  Everyone always does the generic "Gifts for Him/Her/Mom/Dad" guides and those are fine.  But sometimes you have a very specific need, like say, you're looking for the perfect gift for the style blogger in your life.  Well, since Marshalls decided to do a Secret Santa gift exchange amongst the Project Fab bloggers, I thought that I would jot down my shopping strategy for the blogger that I bought gifts for (the very fashionable, Mom-to-Be Tammy of A Loyal Love).  Marshalls has so many great gifts for the style blogger, so let's get started!   1.  Wall Art.  Marshalls has some of the cutest wall art.  When I found this Coco...

2014 Black Friday Deals

The last few years I've stayed away from the stores on Black Friday.  In fact, last Thanksgiving I was in the Bay Area and spent Black Friday sightseeing in San Francisco.  It didn't even occur to me that it was Black Friday.  This year, I've been a little curious about what the sales will be like on Black Friday. Here's what I've found for some of the stores that I'm going to check out (probably from the comfort of my home):   Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse: Buy One, Get One 50% off + 50% off 50 Styles Banana Republic Factory Store: 50% everything now through Sunday.  Thursday and Friday take 60% off all sweaters Belk (In-Store Only until 1 pm): Extra 25% off single...

It’s My Birthday Week!

Black drop-waist dress (Old Navy) | Heels (ShoeDazzle) | Pink handbag (Marshalls)  Bow bracelet (Old Navy) | Necklace (Target) | Earrings (Tiffany & Co.)   I turn 35 this Saturday, August 9.  When I think back to where I thought I would be at 35, this isn't it.  And that's not a bad thing.  When I was little, I just assumed that I would be married with kids at this age, because 35 was old and that's just what old people did. Ha! When I was in law school I never imagined that just 10 years post-graduation I would be more than ready for my post-legal career (Victoria's Secret model, full-time blogger, anything in social media, sports, or fashion). And 6 years ago when I moved to Atlanta...

Weekend Getaway

Memorial Day weekend is here!  For those of us who don't work for the government, it's been many months since we've had a long weekend (MLK Day weekend to be exact).  So, I decided to getaway for the weekend.  I can't even tell you how much I need this getaway and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.  So, where am I going?  Follow me on Instagram (BlitzAndGlam) to find out, but until I start posting photos from my destination, here are some clues:   (1)  It's some place that I've never been before. (2)  I did not pack my passport. (3)  I did pack a couple of bikinis. (4)  It will take me about 7 hours to get there.     Leave a comment below...

Keynote Speaker – Art Institute of Charlotte Keep Calm & Blog On Conference

I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the Art Institute of Charlotte's Keep Calm & Blog On Conference Monday evening.  It was an absolute honor to be there speaking to the conference attendees.  As I told them, I was thrilled when I was asked to be the keynote speaker, because it means that someone thinks that I have done enough things right in my blogging career to go there and impart knowledge on them.  I also shared with the conference attendees that at the beginning of the year I wrote a blog post about my goals for 2014 and one of those goals was to speak at a blogging conference.  Wow!  Let me say (type) that again.  Wow!  Well,...
