I recently attended the preview of Steadfast Supply at Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Steadfast Supply is a retail and communal workspace that connects local brands with the DC community. One of those local brands that I love, and I must admit that I'm biased because it's owned by my friend Dionna, is District of Clothing. But I'll be honest and say that regardless of that fact, it's an awesome brand.
Dionna created District of Clothing to send positive messaging, display local pride, and promote a can-do mentality. If you consider yourself a "doer," this brand is for you. You'll find t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and kids apparel with messages such as "
Dreamer Doer" and "DC Dope" and "Don't Boo. Vote." District of Clothing has been featured on BuzzFeed and Brightest Young Things, to name a few. If you're in the DC area, check out District of Clothing and other local brands at Steadfast Supply Friday-Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm through December. If you're not in DC, you can check District of Clothing out online.
