One of my favorite looks is a big summer trend this year – gingham! Now, if you ask me, gingham is a classic print and never goes out of style, but for some it's been pretty popular this summer. And really, I don't limit myself to only wearing gingham in summer. You might find me layering a gingham shirt under a sweater in fall and winter as well. When I ran across these two pieces separately on The Limited's website, I immediately knew that I wanted them both AND I wanted to pair them together. I checked my handbag, desk, and email to see if I had any current savings codes for The Limited, but all of mine had expired. Enter Splender.
What's Splender, you ask? It's a shopping website that allows you to save and earn cashback on your online purchases through their site. When I first learned of the site, I thought that they probably wouldn't have many of my favorite retailers on their site. Wrong. They have over 800 popular stores to choose from, including my faves like The Limited, Banana Republic, Nordstrom, and more. There were so many stores to choose from that I really didn't know where to start shopping, but ultimately, decided to stick with an old favorite, The Limited. I was able to see what deal Splender was offering for The Limited (2% cash back) and simply clicked on the link to take me to The Limited's site to start shopping. After I found the blouse and skirt, I knew that I needed some accessories, so I picked out this clutch and necklace which are perfect for this look.
Because I used Splender to shop at The Limited, The Limited pays Splender a commission for sending me their way and Splender then passes some of that money on to me in the form of a cash back. It's the easy (it's seriously so easy that I honestly questioned whether it actually worked until I got an email from Splender saying that my cash back was now pending). And, oh yeah. It's free to sign up.
P.S. How appropriate that my first style post since moving back to D.C. is a very patriotic red, white, and blue?
