I'm currently loving the crop top trend. I bought my first one almost a year ago and during my trip to Washington, D.C. last month, I bought this one at the Zara in Georgetown. This crop top is so me and my style – it's sexy and sophisticated. It's trendy, but in a classic way. And, because I don't believe in spending too much on trendy pieces, the price (under $30) made it a no-brainer piece to add to my wardrobe.
You might think that crop tops are only for some people. I'm here to say don't let anyone tell you that you're too old to wear one, because I think that it can be done tastefully and in an age-appropriate manner. Being that I'm over 30, I prefer to cover my belly button when I wear a crop top. How do I do that? I wear them with high-waisted jeans, pants, and skirts. Boom. Problem solved. If the top is short enough, I can still show just a hint of skin. If it's a little longer crop top, it's perfect because it hits your torso just right, there's no tucking involved, and no worries about looking sloppy.
Have you jumped on board with the crop top? How do you like to wear your crop top? Like my look? I've picked out some similar pieces (I LOVE that white crop top!) which you can find below.
