I don't usually do New Year's resolutions, but instead, I usually set goals for each new year. Resolutions tend to be general like, "I'm going to work out more." Goals tend to be more specific, such as, "I will buy a gym membership January 1." This year, I decided to give 2015 a theme – Happiness. This year I'm all about doing more of the things that make me happy and less of the things that don't. Plain and simple. I already shared with you my travel list for the year. Travel makes me happy. My other main focus for the year is studying, practicing, and improving my photography. I also started thinking about what can contribute to my overall happiness and I came up with having a general sense of calm and peace. If you know me, then you know that that's just who I am. I like low stress. I'm pretty laid-back and easygoing. I don't like when people or things bring their disorder into my life and disrupt my calm.
Thinking about all of this lead me to yoga. I'd taken a yoga class in the past and decided this year that I want to take more classes and practice yoga. It really just seems like a perfect fit for me, but I'll talk more about my classes in an upcoming post.
No matter what I'm doing I always think about what I will wear. Thanks to Marshalls, I'm covered (literally). If you workout, you must go to Marshalls to check out their selection of workout apparel and accessories. (This makes me think back to my trip to Puerto Rico last year when my best friend and I stopped in a Marshalls. She discovered just how great the prices are on their workout apparel and ended up with a shopping cart full of stuff!) The prices cannot be beat and the pieces are stylish and functional. Now that I'm into yoga, I can't wait to go shopping at Marshalls for more workout clothes.
Do you have a theme for the year? What are some of your goals?
