Gym Style To Swim Style

Athleta Fit Style

What's more enjoyable on a hot spring or summer day than taking a dip in the pool?  For most of my life, going to the pool was not part of my regular summer routine, because I could not swim.  I didn't avoid the pool, but I was never the first to suggest it as a summer activity. My sister took swim lessons when we were younger, but I was never interested in taking lessons.  About 6 or 7 years ago I decided that it was time to learn, so I found a private instructor through the local YMCA and took lessons with a friend who also did not know how to swim.  At the end of my lessons there were still some swim techniques that I was never able to master, so one goal of mine is to take more swim lessons.  With spring here and summer temperatures just around the corner, swimming is at the top of my mind as an addition to my healthy and active lifestyle.  Before hitting the pool, I had to find the perfect swimsuit.

Athleta City Pants and Chi Tank

This is where Athleta comes in.  If you know me, then you know that I don't believe in compromising style for function.  That's the case for my swimwear and also for my activewear.  Lucky for me, Athleta is all about Fit Style.  If I want to catch a dance class before heading to the pool, Athleta has got me covered.  With Athleta's apparel I can feel comfortable, confident, and chic running around town before and after a dance class and on my way to the pool for a swim.

Athleta City Pants and Tara Halter Bikini Top

As soon as I tried the Athleta City Pants on, I said, "Oh, I'm going to wear these all the time, workout or not."  I love the stylish look and the perfect fit of the La Viva Capri City Pant (size 4 shown here).  They are lightweight and breathable, which is perfect for summer, and the elastic cuffs allow me to push the leg up or down to alter my look.  And the Chi tank?  I want one in every color (XS shown above).

Now, let's talk about Athleta's swimwear.  Two things grabbed my attention about this Tara Halter Bikini top.  First, the gorgeous raspberry (Razzleberry to be exact) color.  Second, the built-in underwire.

I love to mix and match bikini pieces and the Plumeria Sportify Dolphin Short is the perfect match for this bikini top.  Everything about these two pieces, from the color and design to the underwire and extra coverage, help me to feel confident and stylish in the pool and on the beach.

*I picked out all of the Athleta pieces above and Athleta gifted them to me for the purpose of writing this post.  As always, all opinions are my own.

First let me say……THEM SHOES!!!  Ok, now back to my comment. I love the style on you with those shoes and the bathing suit, I love that it's two piece and comfortable looking.  It's something I would definitely wear as I don't have a super flat stomach and just like I how naked I feel in a bikini. This look, I like.  Nice meeting you. Stopping in from SITS Sharefest

I am digging this entire outfit especially the capris.  I was bypassing Athleta in the past because I did not see anything I found very attractive but the way you put the style together has made me a believer.  Visiting from #sitssharefest.
