Happy 2014! There's nothing like the beginning of a new year to make you take stock of your life and want to make some changes. I don't make New Year's Resolutions, but I do sometimes reevaluate my goals in my personal life and blogging life. I don't want to say, "I will work out at least 5 days a week" because (a) I know this would not happen every week and I don't want to feel bad for not having time to work out 5 days a week; and (b) this is a lifestyle change that would not have a finite end. I like to set goals that I can one day check off my list so that I can see my personal accomplishments. Also, I like my goals to be things that can be accomplished within 1 year. I do, though, love the quote above and feel like we all sometimes need that reminder. Live in the moment. Don't wait for the perfect time to do that thing that you've always wanted to do. Take risks. Buy that dress. Take that vacation. Cut your hair. Tell someone no. Tell yourself yes. Start your business. Write your book. Ask her on a date. Ask him on a date. Take that class. Compete in that event. Whatever it is, just do it and do it with no regret, because life is happening right now!
