Last year I decided that I want to go somewhere new at least once a year. Last year I went to 3 new places – Hartford, Boston, and Detroit. This year I visited Las Vegas, San Francisco, and San Jose.

Now that 2013 is winding down, I'm beginning to think about where I want to go in 2014. Do I want to visit a big city or a small, charming town? Do I want to travel to a city in the U.S. or travel abroad? Do I want to travel for a specific event or take a romantic getaway? Do I want to go to the beach or hit the slopes? One place that my family has talked about visiting next year is Hawaii (which would qualify as my "go somewhere I've never been" trip), so I've started researching hotels. I always like to stay at a hotel brand that I'm familiar with and Marriott International is one such brand. In my research I found that Marriott has 6 Vacation Club Hotels across Hawaii.
One place that a friend and I have discussed visiting is Colorado (also somewhere I've never been before) for a ski trip. The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is everything that I've always imagined a ski trip would be like – a resort nestled in the mountains with the ski slopes just steps away from my room and fireplaces to lounge around and sip hot chocolate. Just looking at the photos has made me put this at the top of my list.
With over 3,800 properties in over 74 countries and territories around the world, I know that wherever I decide to go, Marriott International will make planning my next trip easy.
