Blogalicious 5 in Atlanta!

I'm currently packing for my trip to Atlanta for Blogalicious 5!  I'm so excited, because I missed Blogalicious last year in Las Vegas.  This will be my 3rd Blogalicious, so I feel like a pro/vet.  Regardless, I'm always pumped to get what I call "Continuing Blogger Education."  No matter how long you've been blogging, you can always grow and learn something new.  In addition to learning, Blogalicious is just a lot of fun!  Being around hundreds of other bloggers who get it is an amazing feeling and I already know from previous experience that it's going to be extremely difficult to return to the 9 to 5 after the conference.  But let's not think about that.  Let me tell you what I'm excited about…

I will be traveling to Atlanta in a brand new car thanks to Toyota!  Because I am one of Toyota's Corolla Influencers they are shipping a new 2014 Toyota Corolla to one of the local dealerships for me to pick up Wednesday evening PLUS they sent me a Visa gift card for food, gas, and fun!  How cool is that?  I am very excited about driving the Corolla and I will be sharing my thoughts and experiences with you along the way.  Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram @BlitzAndGlam and follow the hashtag #UnexpectEverything.

I will be staying with one of my good friends this weekend and it has been too many months since we've seen each other and really had some girl time to catch up.  The conference will keep me super busy, but I've already promised her that she can take me to a couple of new shops that she discovered in Atlanta. Plus, we've got dinner plans Saturday night after the conference ends with a mutual friend who also lives in Charlotte, but will be in town for business.

I'm also excited about seeing some blogger-turned-in-real-life friends whom I haven't seen in a while, like Trina (Baby Shopaholic), Shameeka (The Broke Socialite), Mattie (Mattieologie), and, of course, Stacey AKA Justice Fergie AKA the mastermind behind Blogalicious, and many more.  Plus, there are some blogger-friends whom I've never had a chance to meet in real life that I look forward to meeting. PLUS, there will be so many other bloggers whom I don't even know yet that I can't wait to connect with at the conference.

Speakers, Sessions & Parties

Now, the whole purpose of the trip is the actual conference which means lots of sessions, speakers, and of course, parties!  The speaker I most look forward to hearing is Amy Dubois Barnett, editor-in-chief at Ebony magazine.  The session I'm most excited about is the All-Star Blogger Keynote Panel, because there will be some…well, all stars on this panel.  The party that I'm most excited about is the Scandal premiere party!  We're supposed to come dressed in our best Olivia Pope look (eek!  I don't know what to wear!), so you know folks are going to come with it.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram @BlitzAndGlam.  If you've been following me a while, then you know that I live tweet all the sessions that I attend to keep those who couldn't attend in the loop.  I always learn so many useful things at Blogalicious and I want to share the knowledge with others.  Stay tuned next week for recap posts.
