This is one of my favorite skirts, because it can easily transition from day to night. One cute detail on this sweater that you can't see is that it has three pearl buttons going down the back at the neckline. And I love to wear this belt with a skirt and top to create a smooth flow to the look. I decided to wear my red heels in honor of Valentine's Day. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
I will be hitting the friendly skies this weekend for my first flight of the new year. Since it's just a quick weekend trip I managed to pack everything in my smallest rolling bag so I don't have to check a bag and can save myself the $25 baggage fee each way. I'm so proud of myself for not overpacking as I tend to do because I like to be prepared for any occasion. This time I only packed 1 extra piece (although I will admit that I packed 3 pairs of shoes for a 2 day trip). Speaking of travel, the big travel news this week is the merger of US Airways and American Airlines. I keep hearing that one thing that tends to occur with mergers is that the prices go up. Umm, can the prices really go up any higher?? I'm watching the news carefully, because Charlotte is a US Airways hub and I often fly US Airways. One other airline that I've got my eye on is Southwest, because they will start offering flights from Charlotte this spring. Anyway, I've said that I will document my travel more this year, so I will try to snap a few pics on this trip. What do you have planned for the weekend?

Very pretty, Tamara– I would like a striped skirt like that! This weekend I have a lunch date planned with a close friend of mine, I plan to go for a nice long run, as well as hit up young adult worship service on Saturday night.

Love Love Love the skirt. And the shoes add a nice pop of unexpected color. I didn't do anything for Valentine's Day. I was deep in the final preparations for my book release party so I didn't have a chance to even THINK about Cupid.
