Charlotte Bobcats Hoops & Heels

All basketball season I've been saying that I was going to attend a Charlotte Bobcats game, because I hadn't been to one since they were in the playoffs in 2010.  Well, when I heard that the Bobcats were having a Hoops & Heels event hosted by Bobcats sideline reporter Stephanie Ready for the game against the Denver Nuggets, I texted my friends Susan and Connie to see if they wanted to attend.  Part of the event was that there would be a NBA 101 session.  While I do not follow the NBA as closely as I follow the NFL, I do know a bit about basketball, and I know that my friends do too, but we didn't let this part deter us from going (which is a good thing, because I actually learned quite a bit).

After the NBA 101 session, we headed down to sit courtside to watch some of the players shoot around before the game.  They came over to say hi and signed a few autographs.

From there we headed upstairs to our suites, where we were fed and had plenty of drinks during the game.

Thank you to our host, Stephanie Ready, and to the Charlotte Bobcats for putting on a great event!  The turnout was great and I think the inaugural Hoops & Heels event was a success!  (Unfortunately, the Bobcats were not successful in winning the game.)  Check back on Friday for a breakdown of What I Wore for this week's InstaStyle post!

Sounds like that was a fun event! I went to see the Memphis Grizzlies play the Orlando Magic on Friday in Memphis and it was a good game.

Now Hoops and Heels sounds like my kind of event. I absolutely love basketball (football, not so much). The Hawks need to have an event like this so I can attend. Glad you had a good time!
