This season, I didn't attend as many football games as I did last season, but instead, found myself enjoying games at home with friends. One thing that became a Sunday tradition was Game Day brunch. No, not going out to have brunch, but instead, cooking brunch and serving it up just in time for the start of the afternoon games. I've decided that next season I really want to step up my "Homegating" by adding a few items to really make Game Day brunch Saint-sational.
So, I'm not exactly a latte drinker, but I LOVE hot chocolate and this mug would be the perfect addition to my Homegating brunch. This season I was introduced to one of the greatest beverages ever – hot chocolate with ice cream. I've been wanting to try it at home and with a set of these mugs, this beverage (that's kind of like a dessert) would become a regular on Game Day.
Hot Chocolate with Ice Cream
- Prepare the hot chocolate of your choice (preferably powdered hot chocolate).
- Pour it into your team's 16oz Logo Latte Mug.
- Add 1 or 2 scoops of your favorite ice cream (my suggestion – plain old vanilla).
- Stir and sip as the ice cream begins to melt into the hot chocolate.
Since the purpose of the Homegating brunch is to be able to watch the game while we eat brunch, no one is exactly sitting at the table to eat. Instead, we all take our plates to the living room to sit in front of the TV. A set of these serving trays would help reduce the number of crumbs that end up on the floor and between the cushions on the couch.
