Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has partnered with Charlotte-based Belk department store to launch an exclusive line of men's apparel called MADE Cam Newton. The initial launch will offer "fashion-forward, versatile, professional" apparel for men, but in Fall 2013, the line will include shoes and accessories. "As a man born and raised in the south, I have always known Belk as a benchmark for quality apparel and a destination for clothing that is both functional and stylish. Developing a collection for Belk was a natural fit from the beginning, and we designed the MADE collection with an authentic approach," said Newton. "I’m happy to bring my vision to a clothing line that provides comfortable, on-trend clothing to men and that reflects my personal style."
I can hear the critics now – "Cam has time to launch a clothing line in the middle of a 1-4 season??" I'm sure, however, that this line has been in the works for quite some time (plus this launch occurred during the Panthers bye week). I cannot wait to see what this line has to offer when it hits stores and belk.com in Spring 2013.

I think it's a graet idea that he's dabbling in other venues besides football. Can't put all your eggs in one basket. He'll have a side hustle to fall back on if anything happens. As far as the Panthers winning games, that's a team effort. One man can win these games alone.
As a team they need to step their game up and get more in sync with each other so that they can make better plays. But compared to where they were a few years ago, I think that we've seen some improvement.
