I would love to start this post off by saying how we (the New Orleans Saints in case you're new to the blog) crushed the Panthers, but alas, we did not. The Panthers took the lead just before the half and we never recovered, so we are now 0-2. I keep telling myself (and anyone who heckles me) that it's not how you start, but how you finish. Since it's still early in the season, I don't think we need to hit the panic button yet. Even though my team didn't look good yesterday, I did. *smile* So what did I wear?
Nike 3rd 'N' Long Raglan (c/o Nike) | Black ruffle sleeveless button-down shirt (The Limited) | Black The Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans (Old Navy) | Naturalizer Gordie Patent Moc (DSW) | Yellow/gold bracelet (The Limited) | Gold bracelets and Gold beads (c/o Nike)
Recognize the Saints shirt? It's the shirt that I wore in my Nike/NFL Fan Style photo. I had planned to wear some black open toe wedges, but rain was in the forecast, so I decided to wear my "walking shoes" (I bought these cute flats just before my trip to NYC for BlogHer 12, because I needed comfortable shoes that were also stylish – imagine my surprise to find that they were made by Naturalizer!). That turned out to be a good idea, since it started raining just as we stepped out to walk to the stadium. Thank goodness for ponchos since umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium. Oh, and I did say we, right?
My friend, Susan, went to the game with me. This photo was taken after the first round of rain. Susan was in her Panthers blue and white (although her main team is the Miami Dolphins). We were able to get some great seats at a good price. Check out our view:
My sister, Zuri, and her friend, Natasha, drove down from DC for the game.
My sister is a Baltimore Ravens fan, but since she's a Cam Newton fan, she decided to wear Panthers blue and white (this was taken after sitting through 2 rounds of rain. And, yes, it is okay to wear white after Labor Day.). Here we are (play) fighting it out (this was taken post-game, but I've still got my team's back, even after a loss).
Natasha wore this sleeveless H&M top with a glittery Panther head on the front (only $17.95, Panthers fans, and still in stock).
Despite the fact that my team lost to the home team and it rained twice, I still had a great time at the game (see my big smile above even though my team had already headed into the locker room after losing 35-27). Shout out to Bank of America Stadium for their Wi-Fi which actually works well enough to keep you connected when your wireless connection isn't strong enough.
