I'm extra late doing this post, but it has been a BUSY month and better late than never, right? I promised in my other two BlogHer posts (here and here) that I would break down What I Wore during the conference. If you know me, then you know that I am a professional at overpacking. An overnight bag? What's that? I like to be prepared for any situation that may arise while I'm out of town. Business event? Check. Casual wear? Check. Going out at night? I've got it covered. An unexpected date with the man of my dreams? You better believe that I will be ready. However, this time I did try to stick with a packing tip that I've always heard, but never really been able to carry out – packing clothes in the same color scheme to minimize the number of shoes and accessories that will have to be packed and to be able to mix and match to minimize the number of complete outfits that will need to be packed. Makes sense, huh? Well, I decided that I was going to wear pinks, blues, and purples during this trip and I think that really helped, because I was able to knock about 3 extra pairs of shoes off my packing list. So, what did I wear?
As you can see, I wore my cobalt skinny jeans from The Limited twice, once on Thursday before BlogHer officially began and again on the last day of BlogHer. I love these jeans, because they are super comfortable and fit perfectly (you might remember these jeans from this post). The purple and white polka dot top and the purple bracelet are also from The Limited. The pink top is from LOFT, the belt and necklace are from Target, and the wedge cork heels are Nine West. Want to recreate the looks?
In between those two days (on the first official day of BlogHer) I wore more of the same clothing color scheme, and I must say that I received many compliments on my style. People easily remembered me from day-to-day not only because of the colors that I wore, but I think also because I wore a similar style each day – skinny jeans and a button-down shirt with heels.
What are some of your favorite colors to mix and match?
