This past weekend was the first weekend with no football following Super Bowl XLVI. I kept myself busy this weekend, so post-Super Bowl depression did not have a chance to set in. Here's how I spent my first weekend without football. What did you do this weekend?
I mailed Football Widows to the winner of the book giveaway, Trina of The Baby Shopaholic. It's funny that Trina says that she always wins stuff and I always win stuff and we've both proven it–I've won something in one of her giveaways and she's now won twice from me. I promise it's not rigged! Has anyone read Football Widows? I plan to start reading it this week and maybe I'll do a review when I'm finished.
I read magazines this past weekend, although I didn't spend as much time reading them as I wanted. I ALWAYS have a stack of magazines and never seem to be able to catch up. I'm currently reading my January issues. I loved this particular line in the "Hey, It's Ok…" column in the January 2012 issue of Glamour. Does anyone else daydream about this besides me (not a bakery, specifically)?
I finally hooked up my Wii that I won at Blogalicious 11 in October! I played Mario Kart which came with the Wii and I also started watching the last season of Friday Night Lights via Netflix on my Wii. I love that the Wii connects to the internet!
I spent time online pinning on Pinterest and watching the live streams of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week shows.
Has allergy season seem to come early for anyone else? I blame the mostly mild winter. I bought some Zyrtec-D, took one, and was knocked out for the night.
I saw Safe House with my friend Loren. Denzel looks good even when he's playing a sociopath. And Ryan Reynolds is easy on the eyes as well. I give Safe House two thumbs up.
I baked cinnamon streusel muffins. Yes, I spent time in my kitchen this past weekend. I've been craving a cinnamon muffin the last few days, so I decided to bake some. Delicious! I also baked salmon, but I didn't take pictures of that.
My wish is that Nicki Minaj doesn't do outlandish tonight. She should shock everyone and do normal. #Grammys

Sing it, Adele. #Grammys

I watched the Grammys. What did you think of the show? Did you have a favorite performance? Adele was my favorite by far.
And my heart broke and I cried…Rest in peace, Whitney.
