NFL Honors

Saturday night NBC aired the first ever NFL Honors hosted by Alec Baldwin, which celebrated the achievements of the players of the NFL.  Since the NFL Honors was presented by Van Heusen, you know I had to take a look at what the men wore to the awards, as well as who was presented with each award.

Aaron Rodgers – AP Most Valuable Player Award.  Aaron never disappoints.

Drew Brees – AP Offensive Player of the Year.  Drew on the other hand, never quite gets it just right.  He tends to look like he forgot he had to go somewhere and just grabbed a jacket out of the back of the car.  But I love my QB!  Congrats, Drew!!

Terrell Suggs – AP Defensive Player of the Year.  He looked nice.

Cam Newton – AP Offensive Rookie of the Year & Pepsi Max Rookie of the Year.  I am a little undecided on this look for Cam.  When I first saw it, I thought "what is he wearing?" but then it grew on me by the end of the show.  This style of jacket makes his chest and shoulders look extra broad.

Von Miller – AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.  When I saw him on the show, I approved, but I didn't notice that his shirt was untucked until this picture.  It makes it look a little less pulled together in this picture.

Tim Tebow – GMC Never Say Never Award.  He looked great.  Did anyone else notice that grey was the color of the night?

Matthew Stafford – AP Comeback Player of the Year.  Sigh.  Can someone please take Matthew to get a grown man haircut?  I honestly didn't even remember what he wore until I looked at this picture, because I was distracted by his hair.

Matt Birk – Walter Payton Man of the Year.  His look didn't do it for me.  It could have been a little more pulled together, but he's doing great work in the community, so he gets a thumbs up for that.

AP Coach of the Year – Jim Harbaugh.  Coach Harbaugh was not present, so San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith accepted the award on his behalf.  Alex Smith gets my best dressed award.  A man can never go wrong with this look.

Play of the Year – Randall Cobb (Packers) for his 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first game of the season against the New Orleans Saints.  Randall looked nice.

Here's a look at some other players who attended the NFL Honors:

Andy Dalton looked nice.

Arian Foster has style, but it's hard to pull of a solid-colored dress shirt with a suit and tie.  I'm not quite sure that I like the red shirt, but I will give him a thumbs up for the rest of the look.

Tony Gonzalez looked ok.  Nothing memorable, but not bad either.

Stevie Johnson looked like that man who used to do the "get free government money" commercials.

Peyton Manning, it was so nice to see you Saturday night.  You looked nice and I think all football fans hope to see you back next season.

Brandon Marshall looked nice as well.

I should also note that the New Orleans Saints offensive line won the Madden Most Valuable Protectors Award.  I enjoyed the show and hope the NFL continues with it.  What did you think of the show?  Who do you think was best dressed?  Who just looked a mess?
