Help The Last Fall Get To SXSW

What is The Last Fall you ask?  Well, if you don't remember my previous post on it, it's a film directed by former NFL player Matthew Cherry about a NFL player who is released from his fourth team and forced to move back home to do some soul searching and to figure out his life after football.  But it's not all football.  As Matthew told me when we first discussed his first feature film, "It's really more of a love story with football in the background."  Now, what is SXSW?  SXSW stands for South by Southwest and it is an annual film, music (artists from Norah Jones to Big Sean), and interactive festival in Austin, Texas.  I've never been, but I first learned of the festival when I was in law school and I hear it's a "must-attend" festival–it is one of the top festivals in the world and The Last Fall is an official selection of 2012 South By Southwest Film Festival!

Finishing a film and having it ready to present at a festival is a great task and one that can be very expensive.  Matthew and his team are humbly reaching out to ask for support–they need additional funding to complete the film and get the cast and crew to Austin for the premiere.  You can pledge $1 or $1000 and I know that each dollar will be greatly appreciated.  They need $15,000 to reach their goal and at the time of this post, they still have 16 days to raise just under $10,000.  (Did I mention that this film stars Lance Gross?)  Check out this video where Matthew Cherry personally asks for our help.  Also, check out the teaser trailer for the film.  I can say that I can't wait to see the film.  (I mentioned football, romance, and Lance Gross, right?)  I plan to back this project and I hope that you will too.  (Did you see that a $50 pledge gets your name listed in the end credits of the film?)  If you want to back this project or learn more about it, check out the site here.
