I don't know about you, but I'm excited to see The Dark Knight Rises, the latest installment in the Batman movies.  I've seen every Batman movie to date and I'm not going to miss seeing this one at the theater.  I was completely surprised to read that several NFL players scored roles in the movie as…football players.  It appears that there is a scene at a football game and they are all members of the Gotham Rogues football team with the Head Coach played by former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.  Oh, and the NFL players in the movie?  They are all members of the current Pittsburgh Steelers team–Hines Ward, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Smith, Troy Polamalu, Casey Hampton, James Farrior, Heath Miller, Ryan Clark, Willie Colon, Mike Wallace, and Maurkice Pouncey.

“It blew me away. I mean to be a part of something that will last forever was amazing. I was truly blessed to be a part of it all,” Ward told the Los Angeles Times.  In the trailer, Hines is seen taking a kickoff return.  He told USA Today, “I hadn't run back a kickoff in forever.  It was a little bizarre. But I scored on the return and any time I score it's a lot of fun."  The scene was filmed at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and is set for a July 2012 release.

Check out the trailer below.  Do you plan to see the movie?
