My POV: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans

I always try to get pictures of the stadium or dome for each game that I attend, as well as pictures from my point of view.  I immediately noticed the architecture of the stadium at LP Field.  The end zones do not have upper level seating, only the first level seating, which leaves the stadium with a very open feel to it.

Before entering LP Field, each person has to go through security as you do at all stadiums and domes.  However, there is one thing that you must do here that I've never encountered anywhere else–if you're carrying a bag, you must place it inside of a box to see if it fits.  According to the policies stated on the Titans website, "All containers, bags, and purses larger than 8 1/2" X 4" are prohibited" so I'm guessing that's the size of the box.  Well, LP Field obviously doesn't know how much stuff I carry in my bag.  When it was my time to try to fit my bag into the box, it would not fit all the way.  I took it out and tried moving some stuff around and tried again.  Still no luck.  The people working the gates, CSC Events, told me it was too big and that I couldn't take it in with me.  I said, "Give me a minute."  I tried shifting some stuff around again and then tried shoving it in the box while giving the gatekeepers some major side eye.  They let me through (I will neither confirm nor deny whether my bag actually fit in the box the last attempt, but the point is that they let me and my big bag through).  Once inside though, I did notice bags larger than mine, but since mine got through, I won't complain.

The National Anthem at this game was performed by Grammy-nominated country music artist Trace Adkins.  While he was singing two paratroopers from the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" jumped from the plane flying overhead and brought an American flag and the game ball into LP Field.  It was very cool.

It was the Sunday before Halloween so the cheerleaders and mascot, T-Rac, were dressed in costumes for half the game.

I think the Elvis costume was my favorite.  Oh.  And there was a game played too.

Aside from my bag almost not making it in, I had a great experience at LP Field.  A stadium that sells turkey burgers get a thumbs up from me.
