What I Wore: Game Day Glam – New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

I normally don't like to pair things from the same store, and particularly the same season, together in one look, because if you do, you run the risk of someone else having on the exact same outfit at the particular event you're attending.  Well, this time, I was ready to make an exception to my rule.  As soon as I walked into The Limited on my most recent shopping trip, I was hit with great fall colors, one of them being golden yellow.  I was immediately drawn to the cardigans and being a cardigan girl (I think cardigans and belts have become part of my signature look and this piece wraps both in one), I knew right away that I would be walking out with this one.  A few steps away I found a great black and gold top that I knew would be the perfect layering piece to help me support my team in style.

But wait…So, I was all ready to wear this particular look, when I started playing in my closet Saturday morning and decided on a different top to wear with the cardigan.

(This isn't the exact top that I wore, but it's close if you want to replicate the look.)  I didn't want to be too matchy-matchy by adding black jeans, so instead I wore a basic dark denim straight leg jean (also from The Limited from last year's denim collection) and a golden brownish wedge shoe.  Also, notice that I chose the Coach wire frame sunglasses courtesy of Advanced Eye Care to complete my game day outfit.  Like their Facebook page for a chance to win a pair of Coach sunglasses!

If you're going to a college football game and are aiming for a collegiate look, this cardigan is a go-to piece.  Don't be surprised if you see it make it's way into another blog post in the future.
