My POV: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

Yesterday, I made the trip to Atlanta to see the Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers courtesy of Visa.  I follow @VisaNFL on Twitter and realized last week that each Monday Visa gives away a pair of tickets to every regular season home game.  You can enter each Monday by following @VisaNFL and tweeting "#GoFans" with the official hashtag of the home team's city found in their official rules each week.  Well, when I saw the tweet that the giveaway was open, I simply tweeted "@VisaNFL #GoFans #ATL" and that was it.  The next morning I awoke to a direct message from them stating that I had won!  My tickets arrived 2 days later and I was excited to see that they were great seats–Section 135 on the 40 yard line!  Thank you, Visa!  Visa Tweet4Tix runs every Monday during the NFL Football Regular Season from 12:00:00 a.m. P.T. – 11:59:59 p.m. P.T. Travel is NOT included.  If you want a chance to win tickets, check out the official rules here.

As I was driving to Atlanta to meet my Mom for the game I realized something–I've lived in 3 NFL South cities:  New Orleans, Atlanta, and now Charlotte (Tampa next?).  As you know by now, the Saints are my team; however, being a Cam Newton fan (Hi Cam), I'm always rooting for him (except when they are playing the Saints), so I did root for the current home team during this game.  As you know, the Falcons came away with the win beating the Panthers 31-17.  One thing that I wish I could have gotten a picture of was one of the $8 fried bologna sandwiches that they sell at the concession stands at the Georgia Dome.  Yes, I said $8.  For a fried bologna sandwich.

At halftime, the Atlanta Falcons honored one of their own by presenting the Pro Football Hall of Fame ring to former Falcon Deion Sanders.

I saw one of my friends from high school, Tina, whom I hadn't seen in years (we both read each others Facebook statuses stating that we were at the game) and my cousins, aunt, and uncle who are all diehard Falcons fans.
