Van Heusen Institute of Style Teams Up With ESPN and GQ

In a recent survey commissioned by Van Heusen and GQ, 85% of men surveyed think that they have style, but recognize that they could benefit from a style upgrade and help selecting clothes that are up to date and in fashion.  The women surveyed believe that the majority of American men need a style upgrade and that they don’t have a sense of style.   

 

Well, guess what guys?  This post is for you!  Van Heusen has teamed up with GQ and ESPN to bring style and swagger back into men's lives (and for this I say thank you). The Van Heusen Institute of Style will challenge men to share their transformation from “Schlub to Swagger” by submitting before and after photos on the campaign’s website www.vanheusen.com. A panel, including campaign ambassadors and Pro Football Hall of Famers Steve Young, Jerry Rice and newcomer Deion Sanders, and style experts from Van Heusen, GQ, and ESPN The Magazine, will select the best entry and award the ultimate sports fan experience. The winner and four friends will fly in a G4 to Indianapolis; attend the hottest parties; experience a complete style makeover; and sit in a suite and watch Super Bowl XLVI with Steve, Jerry and Deion.

 

 

Sports and fashion are intrinsically linked, said Ed Erhardt, president, ESPN Customer Marketing and Sales. This integration with Van Heusen is a great example of how we can work with a men’s fashion brand to collectively serve sports fans.

 

Now, let me see if I can talk one of my guy friends into entering and inviting me to Indy as one of his 4 friends if he wins.
