There is one commercial that catches my attention every time I see it–the 2012 Acura TL commercial starring All-Pro Receiver Calvin Johnson. Oh. And the 2012 Acura TL. Everything about the commercial is sleek and flawless. The commercial begins with Calvin Johnson in full football uniform, and then, he is undressed, cleaned up, and re-dressed in a perfectly tailored suit. Who doesn't love a man in a suit? Everything about his look is perfect: the cut, the color, the fit. If Calvin comes with the car, I'm sold!
On another note, I've heard people criticize the commercial because pre-Lockout, Calvin was employed by the Detroit Lions. Who play at Ford Field. In the Motor City. Home of Ford. Oh, and Calvin's paycheck was signed by a Ford.
What do you think? Was this a bad idea? Or do you think players should get whatever "lockout money" they can get?
