I'm back from Dallas and I had a great time while I was there! Although I didn't attend the game, I did attend several fun Super Bowl related events. The trip started off a little shaky, because a couple of days before I got there Dallas was hit with snow and ice. By the time I got there Thursday, there was still plenty of ice on the roads to make driving difficult and I don't think Dallas was at all prepared for that kind of weather. It didn't look like they had done anything to the roads to make the driving conditions better, but I didn't let that stop me. After all, I went to Dallas to attend events, network, meet people, and have fun! The Super Bowl only comes around once a year and with the potential lockout, who knows when we will see another NFL game, so I was going to take full advantage of being in the Super Bowl city. Even though it snowed several more inches Thursday night and Friday, by Saturday the sun was out and the ice was melting. I stayed in Dallas, but found myself traveling to Fort Worth and Arlington as well. One thing I did not get to do while I was there was indulge in some of the great Dallas shopping that I've heard so much about. I guess that means another trip to Dallas is in order. And Indy, get ready, because I'm coming your way next year!
I took lots of pictures and some video so I'm going to spread my Super Bowl recap posts over a few days. Thursday I attended the NFL Players Pulse Awards at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Our hosts for the evening were James Brown, three time Emmy award winner and host of The NFL Today on CBS; and actor and comedian, Jay Mohr.

Thanks to the NFLPA for providing me with tickets to the Pulse Awards! I had a great time and look forward to the event next year (hint hint)! After the Pulse Awards, I attended the GMC VIP Party. Thanks to GMC for providing me with VIP access to several of their events throughout the weekend! Although I didn't take any pictures at the party, the highlight was standing next to Atlanta Falcons Tony Gonzalez. Sigh. (Insert goofy grin.) He is just as gorgeous in person as he is on TV. (Insert girly giggle.)
