Sunday was my last full day in Dallas. Sunday was also Super Bowl Sunday. I spent the morning and early afternoon lounging and figuring out where we would watch the big game. After searching the internet, we decided to go to a place called Mr. Bigs Vegas Style Sports Bar in Dallas. We were lured in by the all-you-can-eat soul food that was included in the price at the door, as well as the 60 flat screen TVs which would guarantee that we would not miss a play (I won't talk about the TV directly in front of us that kept going out right at key moments during the game). The fact that this video made us crack up was another point in their favor.
We arrived early enough to stake out good seats on the upper level (and near what turned out to be the VIP section) before the crowd arrived. Shortly after the game started the VIP section was filled with Ludacris, Keri Hilson, Tiny Lister (Deebo), Terrence J (BET's 106 & Park/The Game), and Joyful Drake (BET's Let's Stay Together) and their entourages.
Keri Hilson (look for the blonde hair)
He will always be Deebo…

I also got the opportunity to meet one of my Twitter friends IRL (in real life), with whom I ended up partying later in the night and into the early morning hours at the House of Hennessy party where Erykah Badu was the DJ.

It was at the House of Hennessy party that I also caught up with VH1's Football Wives star Dawn Neufeld, who has become a good friend of Blitz And Glam, and her husband, Ryan Neufeld. (Did I mention that the party was held in a super secret location where you had to drive to one location and then be driven to the location of the party? I'm so sure this violated everything my parents told me when I was little about not accepting rides from strangers.)

After leaving the House of Hennessy I made my way back to the hotel about 2:30 a.m., showered and dressed for work, drove to the airport, and was on a plane home at 5:20 a.m. Once we landed and I retrieved my luggage and took the shuttle to my car, I drove straight to work. Who does that? I only got about 30 minutes of sleep on the plane, because I was awakened by the medical emergency of another passenger seated two rows in front of me (and this was the type of medical emergency to have you sitting on the edge of your seat for the remainder of the flight). Thankfully, he was conscious and speaking by the end of the flight and the paramedics were there to take him off as soon as we landed.
To sum up my trip to Dallas for Super Bowl XLV – awesome! I'm already planning to do it bigger and better in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI.
